Dietary MAF has been developed through more than a decade of scientific research as a natural nutritional support designed to activate macrophages, one of the most important components of the immune system.
Macrophages are a type of white blood cell responsible for recognizing and eliminating harmful substances, damaged cells, and pathogens in the body. By activating macrophages, Dietary MAF supports the body’s natural defense mechanisms and helps maintain immune balance on a daily basis.
The immune system plays a vital role in protecting the body from bacteria, viruses, and abnormal cells. However, immune function naturally declines with age, beginning after early adulthood. As the years pass, the body becomes more vulnerable to infections and chronic conditions. Supporting and maintaining a strong immune system is therefore essential for long-term health, vitality, and quality of life.
When the immune system doesn’t function properly, your body’s natural defenses are compromised, and this can lead to many issues that affect daily health and long-term well-being.
Frequent or recurring infections: When immunity drops, even everyday pathogens — such as common cold viruses, bacteria, or irritants — can cause frequent colds, flu-like illnesses, or infections of the ear, sinuses, throat, lungs, or skin.
Longer recovery time: Infections and illnesses may last longer than usual and take more time to fully resolve. Healing of wounds, cuts, or injuries may also slow down.
Chronic fatigue and low energy: You may feel persistently tired or drained even after resting, and everyday tasks can feel more exhausting.
Frequent digestive or gut issues: Weak immunity can disrupt the gastrointestinal system and lead to issues such as digestive discomfort, irregular digestion, or increased sensitivity to gut-related problems.
Lower resistance to stress & slower healing: When immune defenses are down, the body becomes more vulnerable not only to external germs but also to internal imbalances, stress, inflammation, or metabolic strain can have a bigger impact.
Higher risk of serious illness or complications: A weakened immune system may struggle to properly defend against severe infections, opportunistic pathogens (those that don’t typically cause disease in healthy people), or chronic conditions.
Immunity is your body’s natural defense system. It protects you from viruses, bacteria, and harmful substances while supporting recovery, healing, and everyday resilience. A strong immune system is the foundation of long-term health, energy, and cellular balance.
Macrophages are a vital type of white blood cell and one of the body’s first lines of immune defense. They constantly patrol the body, identifying and eliminating harmful invaders such as bacteria, viruses, and damaged or abnormal cells.
Once a threat is detected, macrophages not only destroy it through a process called phagocytosis, but also send signals that activate other immune cells. This coordinated response helps the body fight infections, repair tissue, and restore balance. Common signs of immune activity, such as inflammation, pus, or fever, are natural results of these protective cellular processes at work.
Macrophages are found throughout the body, patrolling their surroundings for substances that are unnecessary or harmful. When they detect “cancer cells,” “viruses,” or “bacteria,” they capture these intruders inside their cells and perform tasks such as attack, breakdown, and digestion to prevent infection.
Macrophages constantly monitor the body, identifying things that shouldn’t be there. When they encounter unwanted substances like “cancer cells,” “viruses,” or “bacteria,” they take them in and begin processes of attack, breakdown, and digestion, helping maintain a healthy immune balance.
Immunity has the power to calm inflammation in wounds and ensure proper healing in case of injury. This cellular power also accelerates the renewal of skin cells, making the skin look more youthful. This is a particularly interesting function for people concerned with beauty.
GcMAF is short for “Gc Protein–Derived Macrophage Activating Factor.” At Saisei, we are proud to collaborate with six Japanese universities in advancing our research in the fields of health and medicine.
In Japan, we proudly offer five different types of GcMAF, each with its own unique purpose and potential: classic GcMAF, serum GcMAF, autologous GcMAF, dietary MAF, and recombinant MAF.
The original GcMAF, which represented the first generation of GcMAF, was repeatedly produced using a vitamin D3 column affinity method within a shared environment. This method carried a potential risk of contamination and is no longer in use.
We have shifted our focus to the new generation of GcMAF, which includes serum GcMAF, autologous GcMAF, dietary MAF, and recombinant MAF.
It has already been explained that when immunity weakens, the activity of the immune system declines. Within this system, macrophages play a particularly important role, as they are the immune cells specifically responsible for immune activation. Based on the results of our collective research, it is expected that products from the MAF series will be effective in activating macrophages.
When it comes to substances that activate macrophages, there are many different approaches and compounds around the world. One of the defining characteristics of the MAF series is that it prepares the body for immune defense without triggering inflammatory reactions during macrophage activation. Our goal is to develop products that support the immune system effectively and safely, without unwanted side effects.
Every day, we strive to find new ways to help you stay healthy.
